National and World Champion

A Dream Come True was born in 1986 in Hurricane, West Virginia. He has been shown in Appaloosa breed shows since 1990. He and Lora attended their first National Show in 1995. In 1997, they attended their first World Championship show. Among the many awards that they earned at that show was a World Championship in Non-Pro Saddle Seat Pleasure!

Dream started his Appaloosa show career with the Mason-Dixon Appaloosa Horse Club and the Maryland Appaloosa Horse Club. (These two clubs later merged to become Free State Appaloosa Horse Club.) They traveled up and down the East Coast, from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware to North Carolina attending regional shows. After a few years there, job responsibilities moved the Marshalls and Dream to Texas, where they joined several Appaloosa clubs and continued showing.

In 1997, Dream started pulling a pleasure cart. He had been ground driving for quite some time, and had been trained (mostly) by Lora, but the final touches and seasoning were done by Marty Wernley of Saint Hedwig, Texas. In his first Pleasure Driving class, Dream won First Place under both judges! He was off to a fine start! He really likes driving, and he earned his Register Of Merit in Pleasure Driving in less than a year.

In 1998, Lora started riding Dream aside. Their first outing in Side Saddle was done in a borrowed saddle which we managed to get only 15 minutes before the class. They ended up 3rd out of 3, but it was a start. In their second outing (using their own saddle), they got two firsts and two seconds out of 3. In their third outing (at the 1998 Nationals), the "Dream Team" placed 4th out of 8. In October of 1998, Dream finished earning the points necessary to earn his ROM in less than a year.
